ICT skills are essential in everyday life.

At the College we offer a range of accredited and non-accredited courses to cater for learners from beginners to advanced levels.

We use Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other specialist software including Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

Whether you want to study for your personal development or to enhance your employment prospects, we have a range of courses to meet your needs.

Entry Level Computing

Our range of courses gives you an Introduction to Computing.

  • A 3 week Basic Computer skills course is an ideal starting point to becoming computer literate.
  • Word processing and Excel courses give you the opportunity to learn the basics of the applications with the view to extend your skills at a later date and progress to accredited courses.
  • Our laptop courses allow you to bring in your own laptop and learn how to use the features specific to portable computers.
  • We also offer slower paced, more relaxed courses for the Older Learner.

Internet & Web

  • Start using Internet and Email, our courses make you aware of and give advice on Security issues and show you how to buy and sell on the Internet. Slower paced courses are available for the Older Learner.
  • Our Web Page Design courses are for those that wish to design and publish their own websites.

Practical Computing

  • Learn how to maintain and build your own PC.

Accredited Courses

  • ITQ is a nationally recognised programme that has been designed by employers to meet the needs of today’s businesses. It covers Office based applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations
  • By achieving the ITQ you will be improving your IT skills and will be able to use IT more effectively and productively. The College offers the ITQ at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
