Horticulture & Floristry
Our Horticulture and Floristry courses offer a diverse range of creative opportunities, from your first steps towards a career in this flourishing industry to more advanced learning and leisure pursuits. To add to this we also offer courses in Balloon Artistry and Event Planning.
Horticulture
If you have always wanted to grow and cultivate your own plants and vegetables or you are a keen amateur who wants to develop your skills and knowledge, the College is pleased to offer the nationally recognised RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) qualifications. Courses begin again in September.
Floristry
The floristry industry is blooming - the UK retail cut flower and indoor plant market is worth £2.2 billion a year. You will need to have a passion for flowers and enjoy being creative, thinking on your feet and working closely with the public. However, it is very rewarding and on our courses you will learn to create stunning displays and arrangements.
There is plenty of scope to develop your skills, whether you have never tried floristry or flower arranging before or are more experienced requiring specialist knowledge and want to keep up to date with new trends.
Event Planning & Balloon Artistry
You may want to specialise in event planning or balloon artistry, or use it as a skill to supplement your floristry skills. We have one day courses, short tasters up to a Level 1 qualification.
