GCSE / A Levels
If you missed out on taking a GCSE at school or achieving that all important A-C grade, this is your chance to join a friendly group, choosing from a wide range of examination subjects. Most courses start in September, although we also offer intensive GCSE Maths and English Literature courses starting in January. In addition you will find some helpful revision courses in this section.
Examination entry fees and an administration fee are included in your course fees. However, if you wish to re-sit a unit there will be an additional charge. If you have difficulty paying the fees then please see Fees & Finance.
Homework is involved in all these examination classes. You may be required to purchase text books and these will be discussed at the first session. Other support material may also be required.
Guidance and Enrolling
Important Information: all learners wishing to enrol on GCSE classes may be required to undertake an initial assessment. Learners who wish to take GCSE English and/or Maths are required to take the initial assessment to establish they have sufficient command of both before enrolment. To book an appointment please phone 020 8300 1056.
Learners for GCSE classes can enrol either by post or in person. All learners must attend the first session of the course, which will be a pre-course guidance session in order to confirm their place. Learners can request a course outline or seek advice prior to enrolment. All learners taking these courses must sit the exam with the College and not at other examination centres.
Special Term Dates
Please check your course outline for the special term dates for GCSE and A-Level courses. If your course is running at an evening centre your course outline will show you where your first week guidance session will take place. Some classes may have no half term breaks, other classes may have to be rescheduled or be held in a different centre to where the class is usually held.
Course Outlines
Course outlines contain important information about your course including initial assessment. Contact the College for a copy.
Other English and maths courses up to Level 2 are also available, please see the Skills for Life section for more information or contact the College.
