Annual Awards Ceremony 2010
Over 250 guests came together on Friday 11th November at the College Annual Awards Ceremony.
The Awards celebrated the outstanding achievements of Adult learners and staff over the last year and saw partners, local dignitaries, friends and family join the learners for an evening applauding their hard work, dedication and success.
This year saw an excellent turn out including local partners Danny Ridgeway, Principal of Bexley College along with Councillors Simon Windle and Edward Boateng, Malcolm Rodriguez from the Skills Funding Agency and Governors of the College.
Councillor John Fuller welcomed learners and their guests, commenting on the power of learning to boost knowledge and confidence and the pride learners should have in their achievements. He then presented Certificates to learners covering subjects as diverse as Literacy, Floristry, Photography, Sports Massage, Counselling and Childcare.
Following on, Malcolm Rodriguez from the Skills Funding Agency, presented certificates to learners for Business Administration, IT, Sign Language and Modern Foreign Languages. Closing the evening he commented on how, as a funder, it was remarkably satisfying to see such success and achievement come from the Government funding.
