Q. How do I contact the College?

A. We now operate a single telephone system, so whichever centre you want you only need to remember one number - 020 8300 1056


Q. How do I find a centre or the address?

A. Have a look at our Contact us page - here you will find address information as well as information on local buses and trains and a link to a map for each location.


Q. What if I need more information on which course to choose?

A. The College has an Enquiries and Information unit based at Brampton Road, Bexleyheath which is linked to the Adult Guidance Unit. You can drop into the centre or telephone 020 8298 2838


Q. How can I find more details about a particular course?

A. The College has Course Outlines with in-depth information about the course, we can also provide more specialist advice where necessary. The Examination boards websites also offer specific syllabus information.


Q. How can I enrol?

A.You can enrol one of three ways:

  • Full fee payers may enrol over the phone by credit/debit card.
  • You can enrol in person at one of our centres.
  • You may post your enrolment to us.
  • Online enrolment will be commencing shortly for full fee payers.

Q. Will I have to pay for my course?

A. Some qualification courses may be free if you are in receipt of JSA or ESA or if this is your first full Level 2 or 3 courses. You must provide up-to-date evidence and you will still be required to pay your own examination, accreditation, registration and administration fees. If you are in receipt of other benefits you may be entitled to a reduced fee. For further details see our Fee Chart.


Q. How can I pay?

A. You can pay by cash, cheque, credit/debit card, standing order or instalment. Please see How to Pay page for full details and other important information.

Q. I live out of the borough can I still enrol?

A. The College welcomes all learners regardless of where you live.


Q. When can I enrol?

A. Enrolment begins on Tuesday 3rd January 2012, however you may leave your enrolment at one of the College centres before Christmas. The College operates a first come, first served policy for enrolments.


Q. When should I enrol for my course?

A. To avoid disappointment you should try and enrol as soon as possible, but you should enrol at least 3 weeks before the start of your course to avoid the course being full or cancelled due to low numbers.


Q. I am on a waiting list and would like to know if a space has become available?

A. If a space becomes available on a course the College will automatically contact you to offer you a place. The waiting list will be contacted in strict order.


Q. What is Initial Assessment

A. Students enrolling on some accredited courses will be expected to sit an Initial Assessment prior to being accepted on to a course. This could be a paper based test or an online test to assess your literacy and numeracy skills to ensure that you will be able to cope with the demands of the course. Q. Why do I need to come for an Interview?

A. Some courses require an Interview prior to enrolment, this is to make sure that the course is right for you and you understand the demands of the course.


Q. I have not lived in the UK or an EU/EEA country for the last 3 years can I enrol?

A. You are more than welcome to enrol on any suitable College course but the College does not receive any funding for learners in this category and therefore all courses are charged at £8 per hour plus accreditation, administration fees if applicable.


Q. I want to withdraw from my course am I entitled to a refund?

A. The College operates a general "No Refund Policy" please see Refunds & Transfers page.


Q. I want to withdraw can I cancel my standing order?

A. Fees are still payable even if you withdraw from your course, therefore you should not cancel your standing order. Outstanding fees will be pursued. See How to Pay.


Q. Can I transfer to a different course?

A. You may transfer to another course if applicable/available however it is only possible to transfer to a course that is listed in the same brochure. If possible there is a £10 transfer fee to pay for each transfer requested plus any additional fees.


Q. If the course I transfer to cost less will I get a refund?

A. Unfortunately the difference in fees is not refundable. Please see the Refunds and Transfers page for more information.
